The service began with the Psalm 1, the Gloria Patri, and the hymn of praise was "All Hail The Power of Jesus' Name." We had words of joy and testimony and special music by Jill Julie.

The theme for today's sermon was false pride.

Mr 9:33
And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

Mr 9:34
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

Mr 9:35
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Mr 9:36
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

Mr 9:37
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Pastor Robbie said the disciples were silent because they were embarrassed when Jesus knew they were arguing among themselves about who was the greatest. Pastor Robbie also talked about the importance of our children being involved in our worship services.

Lu 7:28
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Joh 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

Pastor Robbie said that even though John the Baptist was the greatest prophet of all men, John still understood that his place was below that of Jesus, the Son of God.

The closing hymn was "Precious Lord Take My Hand."
